POLEPOX-PU SEAL 60

POLEPOX-PU SEAL 60

Two-component, polyurethane-based, cold-applied, high-elasticity, self-levelling dilatation and joint filling mastic with high mechanical and chemical resistance. It performs highly after curing and shows excellent resistance to different climatic and temperature conditions as well as other destructive factors.

APPLICATION AREAS

  • Building dilatation joints
  • Parking lots
  • Terminal ramps
  • Hangars, loading and unloading areas
  • Indoor and outdoor horizontal joints
  • Infrastructure projects
  • Airport runways
  • Sewage systems
  • Bridge platforms

FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES

  • Process is simplified by mixing components in equal amounts (2:1 by volume).
  • Cures quickly.
  • Maintains elasticity between temperatures of -40°C and +86°C.
  • Self-levelling, easily and quickly applied.
  • Cold-applied and abrasion-resistant.
  • Adheres perfectly to almost any surface, with or without a primer.
  • POLEPOX-PU THINNER can be used depending on conditions.
  • Film maintains its elasticity down to -40°C.
  • Excellent mechanical properties: high elongation, tensile, tear, and abrasion resistance.
  • Shows good resistance to chemicals.
  • Suitable for drinking water.
  • Can be painted over.
  • Resistant to fresh and salt water.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

  • Surface Preparation: Clean surface preferably using a high-pressure washer; remove oil, grease, fuel, paraffin, mold release agents, cement residues, and loose particles.
  • Priming: For absorbent surfaces, use POLEPOX-PU PRIMER 100, 105, or POLEPOX-EPX WB 350. For hard floors, use POLEPOX-EPX 301.
  • Mixing: Mix components in equal amounts (2:1) by hand or with a low-speed mixer (300 rpm) until homogenous and apply immediately. Pot life is 30-45 min at 20°C.
  • Conditions: Insert a polyethylene wick into the joint. Maintain a width/depth ratio of 2/1. Apply by pouring into the joint. Ensure adhesion to two opposite inner surfaces, avoiding the bottom. Smooth with a spatula and remove masking tape.
  • Note: Keep packages at room temperature (15-25°C) for 24 hours before use. Protect against water and rain until set. Waiting times shorten in hot weather and lengthen in cold.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

  • Packaging: 12 kg set (8 kg bucket + 4 kg gallon).
  • Storage: Store for minimum 12 months in unopened original buckets in dry environments between 5°C and 25°C. Keep unmixed component containers tightly closed

SAFETY WARNINGS

Keep away from flammable products and no smoking. Ensure continuous ventilation. Use goggles and gloves. In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of water. Keep out of reach of children.
