POLEPOX-EPX 306 ZINC
Two component primer containing zinc phosphate. It is best for protecting sheet metal and steel from atmospheric corrosion between blast cleaning and production process.
APPLICATION AREAS
Iron-steel surfaces, power plants, petrochemical facilities, storage tanks where corrosion protection is needed. Have excellent adhesion capability on aluminum and galvanized surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel Surfaces: Oil, grease, dust, and other particles should be cleaned with appropriate organic solvents, detergent or pressured water. For best results, apply Swedish Standard SA 2 ½ Blast Cleaning. After 2-3 hours, apply POLEPOX-EPX 306 Epoxy Zinc Primer as 15-20 microns.
Repair and Maintenance: Surface should be free of dust, oil and grease. Worn and damaged surface should be St3 or Sa2 standard blast cleaned.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
For best results, surface temperature should be between 10°C and 30°C and relative humidity at maximum 80% when the coating is applied. To avoid condensation, metal surface temperature should not be 3°C higher than dew point.
MIXTURE PREPARATION
Product should be homogeneously mixed with a mechanical mixer. Add the thinner and hardener as specified in the technical properties section. Before application, let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
APPLICATION METHODS
We suggest the application is done at 20°C for best results. Application conditions, temperature, film thickness and equipment information should be determined and considered for best application settings.
Airless Spray: Nozzle diameter (inch): 0,015-0,017; Nozzle pressure (bar): 120-200; Application Viscosity (DINCUP4): 30-40 sec.
Air Spray: Nozzle diameter (inch): 1,6-1,8; Nozzle pressure (bar): 4; Application Viscosity (DINCUP4): 20-24 sec.
Roll-Brush: Roll and brush are suggested for small areas. Applicator should pay close attention to reach the desired dry film thickness while using brush or roll.
STORAGE INFORMATION
Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage. Keep away from direct sunlight, sparks, and open flame. Do not smoke in the storage area. Close the container tightly after using it and place it safely to avoid spillage. Product should be stored according to technical safety information and legal obligations. Shelf life is 12 months.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Follow the safety measures and warnings on the packaging and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Provide well ventilation of the application area and use mask and gloves. Do not breathe the vapor and avoid direct contact. Keep away from fire.
