POLEPOX-EPX WB 350
Two Component Water Based Epoxy Primer POLEPOX-EPX WB 350 Water-Based Epoxy Primer is formulated for brush and roller application. It is a two-component product. This water-based epoxy primer is designed for adhesion and corrosion resistance, and for general maintenance use in moderate industrial environments. It is intended for the corrosion protection of equipment and other steel surfaces. This coating is not suitable for continuous water immersion service. It has a very low odor during application, making it ideal for use in warehouses, schools, healthcare facilities, food service areas, office buildings, hotels, or any area where odors are an issue. POLEPOX-EPX WB 350 is impervious to moisture and easily cleaned and sanitized.

INSPECTION
The surface must be structurally sound, dry, and free of oil, grease, curing agents, dirt, dust, or other foreign matter. The surface must be roughened up or porous. This product is designed for use over untreated concrete surfaces free from wax, dusting preventive sealers, deep penetrating sealers, bond breaking compounds, release agents, and other similar chemicals that will interfere with proper adhesion and lead to premature coating failures.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Prepare the surface by sanding, grinding, dry or wet sandblasting, or shot blasting to achieve a clean, porous, and uniform exposed aggregate finish with a CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) rating of “2” that will allow the product to penetrate the surface. Shot blasting is the most reliable method of preparation. Clean the surface entirely with TSP and rinse completely with water several times.
MIXING
In a clean and dry bucket, mix 4 parts A and 1 part B together using an agitator, jiffy mixer, or mixing paddle and drill. Mix slowly for at least 2 minutes or until completely combined. Prepare only the amount you can use in 2 hours in quantities of no more than 1.25 gallons (1.75 with the addition of water) at a time. Do not leave the mixed epoxy in the bucket longer than 3 hours.
CLEAN UP
Soap and water (Before curing begins).
CONCRETE SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of disintegrating chalky material or previously applied coatings to ensure satisfactory results. For proper adhesion, the surface must be mechanically ground or shot blasted to a uniform exposed aggregate finish with a CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) rating of 2. The surface profile should resemble 80 grit sandpaper to be suitable for coating.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Begin applying the properly mixed epoxy primer by pouring small puddles on the floor and rolling into place with a 3/8” nap non-shed roller. Apply a thin even coat of material at the rate of 300-400 sq. ft per gallon.
