POLEPOX-EPX INJ 385
POLEPOX-EPX INJ 385 is a two-component, epoxy-based, and solvent-free injection product.
AREAS OF USAGE
- Reinforced concrete construction, prefabricated construction elements, stone, and solid brick structures.
- It is used in all kinds of engineering constructions such as highways, bridges, tunnels, metro, and in reinforcing the structure by filling static cracks.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Excellent adherence to concrete and steel surfaces.
- It can be applied very easily with simple kits mounted to the front of a hand drill; non-shrink.
- It can be applied in dry and low humidity environments.
- After curing, it has higher compressive and pull-off strength than concrete.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Preparation: POLEPOX-EPX INJ 385 should be stored at room temperature for approximately 24 hours before application.
- Mixing: Components A and B should be mixed with a low-speed mixer (under 400 rpm) until a homogenous consistency is obtained. It is recommended to transfer the mixture to a clean container and mix briefly to avoid compound mistakes. The prepared mixture is ready to apply after a short waiting period for air bubbles to be removed. It cures by reaction between components A and B; no special curing method is required.
- Application: Depending on drilling and bonding methods, crack injection is performed on prepared surfaces. Application can be made with a one-component, high-compressed injection pump (manual or motorized). The mixture is transferred to the pump and injected via expansion bolts.
- Technique: Injection should be made from bottom to top, ensuring the resin does not leak from the front of the cracks. Continue until pressure loss is shown on the meter, ensuring penetration even into hair cracks. In special cases, it can be applied by pouring.
APPLICATION NOTES / RESTRICTIONS
- Application should not be made at temperatures below 5°C.
- Pot life and drying time decrease at high temperatures and extend at low temperatures.
- In hot environments, mixing should be done for immediate use.
- Do not apply mixtures that have started to gel.
- Clean equipment immediately after application with EPOXY THINNER.
