POLEPOX-PU CLEAR UV

Two-component product widely used in the production of glass, mosaic, tiles, porcelain, ceramics, marble, granite, natural stone, wood, concrete, and similar surfaces. It offers excellent adhesion, atmospheric resistance, high strength, and superior water resistance. Available in transparent or colored finishes, it provides high chemical and physical resistance for both decorative and insulation purposes. It is unaffected by UV rays and external weather conditions, ensuring it does not yellow, fade, or darken over time. It is easily applied without damaging existing coatings on floors like balconies, terraces, bathrooms, and pools.

Recommended Use

  • Mosaic, tile mosaic, ceramics, marble, granite, natural stone, and porcelain surfaces.
  • Press bricks and wooden surfaces.
  • Balconies, terraces, bathrooms, kitchens, and stone-clad exteriors.
  • Ceramic or glass mosaic covered ornamental pools.
  • Helps prevent dusting on absorbent surfaces.

Advantages

  • Material is UV resistant.
  • It does not cause yellowing on the surface (skin).
  • Easy to apply (Source mentions one-component in advantages despite being a 2K system).
  • Quick drying product.
  • Increases water impermeability and prevents cracks resulting from freezing in plasters.
  • Protects concrete from atmospheric influences like salts or gases.
  • Reduces dirt retention and maintains concrete color under rain influence.

Surface Preparation and Application

Surface Preparation: Relative air humidity should be no more than 80%, ambient temperature 15-35°C, and surface temperature at least 5°C. Do not apply outdoors during rain. Surface must be thoroughly cleaned of oils, dust, dirt, and rust for good adhesion. Renew worn joint fillings in ceramic applications before use. A sanded surface provides better mechanical properties for adhesion.

Application Method: Before application, the two components must be thoroughly mixed in the specified proportions and weights. They only react correctly when a homogeneous mixture is achieved. Follow the recommended number of coats for best performance.

Consumption: 0.150 - 0.200 kg/m² per layer; a minimum of 2 layers should be applied.
