POLEPOX-PU TC 295
Two-component, UV-resistant, flexible, abrasion and chemical resistant surface protection material based on low viscosity polyurethane resin. It is designed as the ground for thin or multi-layered finish paint systems.
RECOMMENDED USE
Application Areas Over polyurea coatings Children's playgrounds Fitness rooms Floors of sports fields Outdoor and indoor swimming pools PU, PUR and epoxy coated surfaces Hospitals Surfaces requiring UV protection
ADVANTAGES
Advantages and Features Fully resistant to external environmental conditions Not affected by UV rays Protects the applied surface from water, rain, and sunlight, preventing wear Can waterproof all types of horizontal and vertical surfaces Creates a smooth layer, covering cracks and floor faults Ideal for terraces, balconies and wet floors Easy to clean, dries quickly, and is non-dusting Long service life; maintains elasticity and does not change color High scratch, abrasion, and chemical resistance Semi-elastic structure Does not contain any bacteria Easy to apply
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Surface Preparation: The surface should be clean and free of any defects. Care should be given to the application time of the previous primer or base coat.
Strength: Mechanically, it resists the mechanical effect of medium to high loads. Thermally, it resists up to $+80^{\circ}C$ at humid temperatures (without chemical and mechanical effects) and up to $+120^{\circ}C$ dry temperature.
Application Conditions: Relative humidity of the air should be a maximum of 75% and the application (ambient and surface) temperature should be between $+5-30^{\circ}C$. For outdoor applications, it should not be rainy 48 hours before, during, and 48 hours after application. Surface temperature should be $3^{\circ}C$ above the current dew point.
Mixing Procedure: It is a two-component product and should be prepared at the mix ratio specified for the quantity used, considering the pot life. For a homogeneous mixture, ensure the product temperature is not less than $15^{\circ}C$. Component A should be stirred quickly using a mechanical mixer, then the hardener (Component B) should be added, maintaining the mix ratio. Components A and B should be stirred using a mechanical mixer for a minimum of 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is reached. Ensure the prepared mixture is consumed during its pot life.
Surface Application: The mixture is preferably applied by airless spray or roller in the amount specified in the paint system, or to obtain the desired dry film thickness as controlled by a wet film comb. Wait time between coats is minimum 24 hours ($20^{\circ}C$) and maximum 5 days. It is very important to apply the second coat within the over-coating time specified. It reaches full mechanical and chemical strength in about 7 days.
Clean Up: Use cellulosic or polyurethane thinner for cleaning.
