POLEPOX-EPX METALLIC

A solvent-free two-component epoxy floor coating for interior spaces. Its special pigments create a metallic effect, creating decorative effects on the surface. Once cured it forms mechanically durable, abrasion-resistant, hard, and glossy surfaces.

ADVANTAGES

Solvent-free, it can be used safely in enclosed spaces. Its good spreading properties make it easy to apply. It is decorative and provides a dust-free, shiny surface. It is easy to maintain and clean, and it creates a hygienic surface. It can be applied wall-to-wall, jointless, seamless, and in one piece.

USAGE AREAS

It is used on the floors of shopping malls, stores, and showrooms. It is also used on the floors of office buildings and restaurants. It is also used on the floors of laboratories, food, and pharmaceutical facilities.

SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATION INFORMATION

Application surfaces must be free of oil, rust, dust, and similar impurities. The application surface must be free of moisture and absolutely free of loose layers. Glossy surfaces should be roughened with shot-blasting, slim, or freeze polishing. The prepared concrete surface should be primed and impregnated with POLEPOX-EPX 301 following the application instructions. If necessary, the surface can be colored with a colored undercoat before proceeding with the application of metallic epoxy.

Product mixing

After component A is mixed in its packaging until homogeneous, pour all of component B into component A. Mix on low speed for approximately 3 minutes until the two components form a homogeneous mixture. Excessive mixing should be avoided, as it can affect the product's properties and create air bubbles.

Application method

The prepared mixture should be spread evenly across the surface using a brush or roller. A uniform thickness should be applied to the entire surface. For a more pronounced metallic effect and decorative appearance, the mixture should be allowed to dry approximately 1-2 hours after application (this should be done while the product is still visibly thick before it begins to dry).

CONSUMPTION

One or two coats can be applied, depending on the application surface and the decorative effect to be created. A single coat of 0.5-1.0 kg per square meter is sufficient. Thinner: Use without dilution.

PACKAGING

A+B is available as a set in 14.50 kg and 5.50 kg tin pails.

STORAGE METHODS AND DURATION

Storage should be stored at 15-25°C, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months.

Safety Precautions: Avoid contact of the mixture or components with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a physician. Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection, and keep away from children. More detailed information on safety and disposal can be found in the MSDS.

POINT TO CONSIDER

Not suitable for use in open areas or exterior spaces. The surface temperature should be 15-30°C. The relative humidity should be below 4%. Ambient temperature and humidity should be taken into account during and after application. Ambient humidity should not exceed 80%, and the temperature should definitely be above 10°C. The surface should not be touched or exposed to water for 24 hours after application. Appropriate quantities of mixture should be prepared during the application process, and work should continue until the entire mixture is used. The surface should not be touched or exposed to water for 24 hours after application.
